BioVeg is partly made of materials derived from renewable sources, such as corn waste and other vegetable crops, combined with bio-based polymers.

It does not contain components of animal origin, nor is it tested on animals. It is a true alternative to leather for the fashion and leather goods industry.

Production reduces CO₂ emissions and water consumption compared to animal leather and many traditional synthetic materials. It is often accompanied by environmental certifications (e.g. USDA BioPreferred, OEKO-TEX).
